What is Bridge Ltd.
Bridge Ltd. is a business club whose main priority is to offer its members investment opportunities. These are mostly pre IPO shares i.e companies not listed on the stock exchange yet. In order to make myself clear I will explain in due time how a company raises the capital needed for its advancement:
Let’s say that company X has been around a while and decides to develope further. It will need money which it doesn’t have at the moment. It decides to issue shares. It wants to raise much capital in short time so it turnes to big investors. They look at all the documents, analyze it and decide whether they want the shares or not. What usually happens is that they agree to buy the shares but with conditions which are not allways the same as the board of directors’ ones. Thus the investor takes away their decision making power.
What Bridge Ltd. does is taking the role of one big investor who doesn’t make any decision and leaves that to the board of directors. When X decides to raise capital it turnes to Bridge Ltd. (through different channels) and Bridge Ltd. offers the shares to it’s members. Thus the owner of the shares is not one person but thousands represented by Bridge Ltd.
When X contacts Bridge Ltd. it goes through different stages of financial analysis. First it’s being checked by an independent advisory board which doesn’t work for Bridge Ltd., but earns from the profits of the companies if they realise such. The next stage is if Bridge Ltd. decides whether to offer it to us or not. Up till now from hunderts of companies applied only few of them were offered to us and these are:MindArk(which turned out to be extremely profitable), Sting Networks, RavenPack, Libra Holidays and GPS Buddy.
